Scripture of a living faith: the library collects it and does not score it, and readers cannot rate it.

The shortest of the great Mahayana sutras, about 260 Chinese characters in Xuanzang's version, condensing the teaching of emptiness into a few lines and ending in a mantra. It is chanted daily in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Tibetan Buddhism and copied out by hand as a practice. Some scholars argue it was first composed in Chinese.
