Cold Library

Cold Vault

A contract you deploy for yourself. You alone choose who receives what, and when. The library never holds it, cannot open it, and takes nothing from it.

In plain words

A wallet is your own account on a blockchain. A contract is a program nobody can change. A testnet is a practice network with no real money. Cold Vault is not offered where it is not legal, including mainland China, and a vault is not a legal will.

How it works

  1. Set the plan

Heirs, shares, and two or three keepers you trust.

  2. Live as usual

Check in from your own wallet now and then. Each check-in resets the clock.

  3. If you go silent

After the silence period (6 months by default), 2 of 3 keepers confirm. Then a 28-day veto window, in which you or any keeper can stop it.

  4. Heirs claim

Each heir claims only their own share, from their own wallet. No account, no ID.

Try it with a fake clock

No wallet, no network. Press the buttons and watch what the contract would do.

Day 0Active · you are in control

Silence period 180 days · 2 of 3 keepers · veto window 28 days · two heirs, 50% each.

Questions

Can my heirs take it while I am still here?

No. Only after the silence period, two keepers and the veto window. One check-in from you cancels everything pending.

What does it cost?

No fee. You pay only the network’s own transaction costs.

What if Cold Library disappears?

The contract lives on-chain with no admin. Heirs can claim from any wallet through a block explorer. The steps are also in the public repository.

Why not just write the recovery phrase in my will?

Anyone who reads it can take everything, at any time, including while you are alive. A vault pays only the registered wallets, only by the rules.
