The Qur'an
Islam
Scripture of a living faith: the library collects it and does not score it, and readers cannot rate it.
The scripture of Islam, held by Muslims to be the word of God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, in 114 suras of rhymed Arabic prose. It is recited in every daily prayer and learned by heart by millions. Its sound and rhythm are part of its meaning, which is why Muslims treat translations as interpretations; it also set the standard of classical Arabic.
