תנ״ך
Tanakh (The Hebrew Bible)
Judaism
Scripture of a living faith: the library collects it and does not score it, and readers cannot rate it.
The scripture of Judaism, in three parts: Torah, Prophets and Writings, whose initials give the name. Its books gather law, story, prophecy, song and proverb over many centuries, mostly in Hebrew with some Aramaic. It is read aloud in the synagogue through the year, studied line by line in the commentaries, and it underlies the Christian Old Testament.
