Mustt Mustt

A collaboration between the qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the Canadian producer and guitarist Michael Brook, released on Peter Gabriel's Real World label. Qawwali vocal lines are set inside Western rhythm and ambient textures, and a Massive Attack remix of the title track closes the album. Purists find the devotional form thinned out; its reach outside South Asia was considerable.
