서태지와 아이들

The debut of the trio led by Seo Taiji, formerly bassist of the metal band Sinawe. Its single Nan Arayo put rap and new jack swing into Korean mainstream pop and became a national hit, and the group's style of music, dance and image is widely seen as a forerunner of K-pop. The record itself borrows openly from its models; its weight is in what followed.
