Aman Iman

Tinariwen, a Tuareg collective of guitarists and singers from the Sahara, made this album with the producer Justin Adams. Circling electric guitars, hand percussion and call-and-response singing in Tamasheq carry songs of exile, homeland and hardship. It brought the group a large international audience and made the desert guitar sound a reference for musicians from Mali and Niger to Europe and America.
