انت عمري

This Sono Cairo LP holds a single song across its two sides: Enta Omri, the first work Mohammed Abdel Wahab composed for Umm Kulthum, with words by Ahmed Shafik Kamel. The meeting of the two biggest names in Egyptian music was a public event, and the song became one of the best known in the Arab world. Its long instrumental introduction and slowly varied refrains show tarab built on patience.
