Ryuichi Sakamoto's first solo album in eight years, made after treatment for throat cancer, imagined as the soundtrack to a film by Andrei Tarkovsky that does not exist. Piano and organ sit beside field recordings, prepared sounds and voices reading poetry, often out of step on purpose, as the title says. It is a late work about time, decay and attention, made by a composer listening very closely.
